    Waffle weave Empty Waffle weave

Hello - just joined this forum today and looking forward to spending time with fellow weavers.

I have a question about waffle weave (it's pretty basic, haven't been weaving long so please forgive me):

I would like to weave some thick, functional towels using the waffle (honeycomb?) method, however, I'm not sure what the sett should be? I will be using 8/2 unmercerized cotton from UKI. I've done a lot of searching and just can't find a good answer to this question, so if anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. We are in the process of updating our kitchen, so I would like to put my own mark on the decorating. I plan to give these towels A LOT of use, so I want to weave sturdy, thick, functional towels.

Glad to have found this forum!
